What do Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Kesha have in common? Yes, they’re all beautiful women on the Hollywood A-list. But if you’ve been paying attention to TMZ over the last month, you know they’re just the latest in a long line of vixens to have some unauthorized dirty laundry aired in public.

Why is it that some celebrities just can’t seem to keep their naked photos and bong shots within the confines of their cell phones?

The answer, according to the newly single Aguilera, is that those darn hackers are still up to no good. (Anyone know the Vegas odds on the “hacker” turning out to be her ex-husband?)

The Aguilera camp insists that the photos were taken by the singer’s stylist and at some point after that the sexy content was compromised.

What the PR lackeys failed to explain is why her stylist needed the young starlet to pose in a S & M getup with her neatly waxed bikini line — and so much more — hanging out in clear view. I guess nipple clamps really help bring out the color in a girl’s hair.

Miss Aguilera and the rest of the ladies surely have to know by now that no private photo is truly private in the age of Social Media. One gets the impression that not only do they fully realize this, but behind all of that feigned outrage, they might even be enjoying all of the free publicity.

Miley Cyrus was lighting up a bong a couple of weeks ago, and no one was surprised. The video on TMZ may have been unauthorized, but is it really any more shocking than the photos and videos that Cyrus herself has personally posted on her own Twitter page over the last two years? Cyrus has transitioned from Disney star to adult actress the last couple of years and all of these risqué leaks have played a big part in crafting her new image.

Paris Hilton has been called more hurtful names than we have room to print here over the years, but I’m prepared to call her something else that it’s about time she gets credit for being: a pioneer.

Hilton showed us that perhaps in the end, there is some truth to the old saying that any publicity is good publicity, even if it involves a dick in your mouth and bad lighting. Say what you want about her career, but the truth is that Hilton wouldn’t been able to make that terrible album or “act” in those awful movies, if her notoriety had not risen in Hollywood as a direct result of her sex tape.

Kind of makes you think back to Aguilera, who hasn’t had the best year. Her album bombed, she had to cancel her tour because she couldn’t sell any tickets and now she’s tasked with trying to promote “Burlesque” this winter while the likes of Perez Hilton continue to take pot shots from the bushes. I’m not saying the stylist’s photos were leaked intentionally, but she can’t be all that upset to have been one of the top search terms on Google just as her movie was starting to lose its legs at the box office.

So the next time TMZ shows some “innocent” young girl getting up to no good, enjoy the free entertainment but read the inevitable PR response with a grain of salt.

Chances are, that young celebrity just might be enjoying the show too.
