Yesterday, California’s governor said it was time for a discussion about the legalization and taxation of weed for recreational use. A Field Poll in April showed that 56% of California voters support legalizing and taxing pot for recreational use in order to help fix the budget deficit.
Kudos to Schwarzenegger for having the guts to say this aloud, as there has been “enormous fear at the political level” even about discussing pot legalization, says the Director of the Drug Policy alliance.
